anyone saying solas wouldnt be a good parent bc he would be too impatient is WRONG as fuck. solas loses patience with ignorant adults because they more often than not are choosing to be ignorant but little ass kids literally just don’t know shit about the world. that sick fuck would LOVE the stage where a toddler starts asking “why” to everything they are told. he tells his four year old that sometimes pieces of their house might teleport into the air and they ask why not realizing they are not going to have a chance to play with toys again all day because babae is still fucking yapping
I finished it! A four pages comedy comic about sword and shield. inspired by The Wigmaker Job, Lucanis did use a sword!
And Davrin, I agree with you, shield is cool!
Light in Your Eyes
Ashur had very few moments to himself in the days after Elgar'nan's fall. With so much of Minrathous in shambles, there were some unsavory characters who sought to take advantage of either the chaos or the power vacuum left by the death of most of the Magisterium. Giving Dorian the support of the Divine as well as guiding the Chantry to help the wounded and displaced took up most of his time. Most nights Ashur would collapse onto his bed under Tarquin's watchful eye and fall into an uneasy sleep, still plagued by nightmares of the Blight.
Through all of it, he could feel the thrum of Rook's beating heart. But as each day passed with her friends taking shifts at her side, they worried more that she might never fully recover from the injuries Elgar'nan had inflicted during that final, harrowing fight.
Some part of Ashur feared seeking his soulmate's side. The memory of her stuttering heartbeat as the healers fought to keep her soul anchored to her broken body haunted his nightmares as often as the Blight.

The Colour of Bruising
I’ve been planning a story about Lavellan and Solas in the regret prison that unfolds in phases of healing. Each phase mirrors the stages of a bruise as it changes colour, with each colour carrying its own symbolism.

He finds her again, though in a different place this time. He gently takes her hand, keeping his eyes on her, speaking softly to her about stories of the Fade and spirits, stories she has always loved. He waits there, patient, until the glassiness in her eyes begins to dissolve, until she blinks and returns to herself and focuses on him. Only then does he guide her back to their makeshift shelter and draws her into conversation, anchoring her attention in the present moment with him.
This is happening more frequently he notes. Each time he wakes to find her gone, his stomach fills with an uneasy fear. But he gets up, sets out through the regret prison, tracing her shimmering footprints on darkened paths until he finds her again - always somewhere else, always standing still, staring off into some world he cannot see.

(Davrin & Kataqun Ingellvar/Rook's daughter post-DATV)
Her name is a mix of Kadan & Vhenan, the "ay" pronounced like the "e" of vhenan. Her nickname is Cay!
The genetics in this family are wild✨💙 They all have amazing face cards 🙈

I'm back in Solavellan hell, so here's an idea I've been thinking about for a while and want to spend more time fleshing out later. But in Navarra, it's talked about how they view death and birth as one spirit enters the fade in death it displaces one from the fade. What if that was partially true, but just for elves. And what if instead if them becoming restless spirits or something else, they're born. What if the elves all used to be spirits but can't remember because they were born and didn't make bodies.
And building off of that, what if Lavellan was a spirit Solas knew from before that just didn't take a body like he and the other Evanuris did. Idk, there's just something about the idea that even if neither of them realize it due to one thing or another, they've known each other before they had lungs to draw breath.
