It's just occurring to me on this upteenth rewatch, Ilya was ghosting Shane while PLAYING GAMES AGAINST HIM post Sochi. If Svetlana's prediction was correct, they played a playoff series against each other. At least four games?!!??
I'm sure I'm the last one realizing this, but I'm stunned. They are at the faceoff circle and Ilya hasn't replied to a text from Shane in months. Ilya isn't chirping? He's just playing brutal hockey???? Idek!
Maybe there is more in the book, but I'm completely shook.
