“don't be scared”
Jim isn’t all too sure just when or how he ended up under the hospital bed. He remembered having the nightmare, remembered being back on that planet among all those who’d been killed. He’d woken terrified and disoriented. Some entered the hospital room, paused before the door closed again. Jim could see their feet but refused to move - curled into himself tighter as if it was the man from his nightmare standing in the door. Well, for all he knew it could be. Words are spoken and it takes a moment before the voice registers. “… Sam?” Those who knew him would swear they’d never heard him so quiet or broken sounding. His brother is there in an instant, bending down to peer under the bed at him before sliding under as well to wrap around the younger.
