I gave a personal touch to my new every day theme
Version two of Post- Grime: Deux. Simply a title, not a label. This mix was quite similar to my live MC-DJ project I've been working on, shifting from purely emceeing exclusively. The sections with no vocals were generally spit over as I simultaneously flipped the faders. I was stoked to play my own prime-time slot for my crew dem, Santa Babylon, on a wicked Halloween weekend show. I then followed up that debut with an opportunity to open up for a DJ set for the singer of the Grammy nominated electro-pop band, Shiny Toy Guns. The reception was well, receiving props from people from the people I least expected. But I am looking to elevate it to the next level in the near future... new live artist features, and original productions mixed into the sets.
