#np Japandroids - 'Post-Nothing'
Japandroids poster for The Fillmore in San Francisco, consisting of 42 small illustrations. 13x19 inches.
Indie rock industrial complex might be my own cynicism with the modern variants of the music the 90's made profitable. However, why am I holding this against the contemporary indie rockers? Maybe thanks to me thinking they have more freedom than their olders peers. For instance, I listen to Japandroids and I keep thinking – good, but I've heard this before. Sure, there are a couple of surprises they do occasionally, yet they don't really surprise me like their older peers did. True, even the latter had these problems, but the consequent fragmentization of the scenes means Japandroids – for example – could go further with their music. Yes, I notice your influences, though you can move beyond them in the way grunge did.
