Poll: Need help to decide
Should I add a crush option for male MCs on Yudai and Vivienne but know that it will never be reciprocated?
yes
no
I just thought of it. I don't want to limit everyone's worldview. Like, you can have a crush on them but if for example, you are a Male MC, your feelings will never be reciprocated.
I won't be adding this option for Héctor since you also just met him unlike the two whom you've known for quite some time. Especially Vivienne.
This won't exclude other ROs for you to pursue.
I am also thinking that this can open up a conversation in the future. You know, just in passing. Flavour text and all.
Let me know what you all think!
This is a fascinating idea, so excited to see more! I was wondering, how would the ROs react to a non-violent/weakling MC? I know that the school (and the characters) would likely eat them alive, but I'm fascinated by the idea of playing a character who chooses kindness and compassion in such a violent setting.
Thank you!
R is very tough and strict, but they don't see the use in being cruel for no reason. Non-violence is equivalent to weakness in this school and R would just feel (Internally) bad for MC because whew...they would not expect MC to survive. R would actually try to get MC discharged (which they try to do anyway in the story) because they don't want to be responsible for unnecessary death. If MC dies while fighting, then fine. But MC being non-violent is just setting them up for failure and R isn't that much of an asshole to be okay with that. As mentor, R is basically responsible for anything that happens to MC. So it falls on them to make sure MC stays alive and graduates.
I would be smug knowing that the child of such a once-respected commander is a weakling. Gonna say now: a non-violent MC won't curb any of I's...assholery lol. But it might make them look bad in the eyes of others and appearances are everything sometimes.
M is a non-violent, weakling on their own so they'd feel bad and probably fail in defending MC, but at least they can relate. They'd be like two peas in a pod. I think M would like MC more for it. The bloodthirsty students in Stonewall scare M lmao
E doesn't care either way. Really, they don't care about anything. They're indifferent to everyone's affairs. BUT I think they would respect an MC who managed to survive that long without falling prey to the bloodthirstiness of the school. E finds that as another kind of strength people underestimate.
This is such a great concept for an IF! I have butterflies thinking about the school and ROs already. What influences led you to make this IF, and if I could ask, what theme or tropes apply to each of the ROs? R, I, M, and E are going to have their work cut out for them once they see how hardworking MC is 😘
Thank you! I saw that you mentioned Fourth Wing and I haven’t read it yet but I heard of it. This may be a bit funny but Red Rising by Pierce Brown and JJK were small influences. Mostly just the school setting interested me. I wanted to write in the setting of a college that was like college but…deadly.
I will make sure to pick up Fourth Wing! R is a mentor, so that falls under a forbidden romance since that’s not allowed. There is a bit of a power imbalance which R is aware of. R will do their best to remain detached and keep their distance. They're a bit weird, since they give off the impression that they dislike the recruit but that’s not the case. They tend to be a bit of a mixed bag. I is a bully romance and not for the faint of heart. They are a red flag romance through and through. Standard enemies to lovers, a bit Romeo and Juliet esque since I and MC’s families are rivals. M is the typical friends to lovers and they are a breath of fresh air since they are probably the only kind character there is ha.
E is the child of the High Commander and that is also a forbidden romance (sort of). I can’t say much on their tropes since it would be spoilery :)
Question: How would your MC feel about Yudai calling them “Superstar”?
It’s canon that he calls you superstar because he’s just like that. 💪
I wanna know your thoughts! Also because I am rather focusing more on chapter 1 cuz I wanna show y’all The Pantheon as soon as possible. 😩
I am not currently looking at my notes right now but as far as I remember, Matyáš, Genevieve, and Wadia won’t appear in the first chapter so sorry for these guys’ mancers.
Anyway, you guys can send your thoughts either through asks or just reply in this post.
As always, thank you and STAY SAFE!
Another IF that involves a school! This weekend I was weighing whether to make PD and then saw yours and found it to be a sign. While mine isn't too much about a school, it's nice to see it get some love :) Excited for Stonewall!
Oh!! That's exciting. I'm glad my intro post can inspire a bit.
I love spies. I'll be watching your development closely. Cheers to new interactive fiction games!
So hogwarts settings, and a little bit of hungergames. Lovely
Mc, i volunteer as tribute!
MC will regret this choice...or not.
But yes, basically :)
