I participated in #kidlitartpostcard day yesterday and wanted to share a tiny bit of BTS on the drawing I did for mine! It’s not my most polished artwork, so for next postcard day I’ll have more prep time, but I really enjoyed this one! Had some precious #studiotime this wet autumnal afternoon playing with collage pieces using bits from @brutoncorrespondenceschool . Includes reworking #gelprinting work, upcycling packaging and other pieces of work and a postcard ready for #postcardday tomorrow. No real goal here except some #creativeplay with materials and just experimenting without fear of making mistakes or judgement. Inspired by listening to a fascinating @bricksart from @catknightart presenting her most recent work, #isolationwindows which was her #collaborativeart response to the limitations of the Covid-19 lockdown. Loved hearing about her painting 77 window views from images sent to her from all over the world, helping her connect with the sender through her reproduction of their views. In a way the #postalart projects I have joined during lockdown have helped me to connect with other artists and whole communities through different projects.
