my concept of positive relationships are with those who care enough to help me better myself as a person when I slip up, when I give into my less than stellar qualities or habits they are the ones who focus me, help me to regroup, recognize the flaws in judgement or action, and love me and support me throughout.
Positive relationships are not with people who ignore your mistakes, your lapses, your moments of unkindness, your repeated unfortunate habits and act as if you never have a fault. Because they are not supporting you if that's the case.
But those who care enough in spite of the bad to help you, help yourself.
