thank you! believe me, it's just as cathartic to talk about it!
sorry, but i’ve got no plans to continue this -
this was just a little trip down memory lane for me, showing off all the summary notes i already had written down.
that was every idea and plotline i had been holding onto, and i don't have any more.
i would have to come up with an entirely new story from scratch, and i don’t have any interest in doing anything more with these characters in particular.
while i'm nostalgic towards them, i'm ready to move on from them and focus on something else!
i don't know what i'll be doing next, but i hope you all like it.
thank you.
if you insist!!
i think this might become more of a general plot outline rather than a summary for just one character.
as much as i would just like to summarize mightyreep as requested, she gets tangled up with so many other characters that it’d be more understandable to start at the beginning!
this summary will have a mix of old art just to keep it interesting though!
obviously this will have spoilers for undead-mew’s story, but since i don’t think i’ll be finishing it, i can talk about it.
Caroline starts as a traveling Mew, going from region to region. She has a lot of issues she’s running away from, but gets distracted by a Mareep girl named Michelle.
She rescues Michelle from a Mightyena, and the two become friends.
Michelle convinces Caroline to help protect her farm and family from the Mightyena that regularly attack it, and Caroline agrees to stay, at least for a while.
Caroline rambles constantly to Michelle about her life, and Michelle is smitten. She begins getting a crush on Caroline, but gets a sinking feeling that she would only eventually break Caroline’s heart.
Mew live hundreds of years longer than most Pokémon, and Caroline seems to have experienced heartache in the past because of it.
Michelle receives a rose from a mysterious stranger, telling her that wearing it will give her immortality. Michelle hardly believes it, but has no reason to be suspicious of an ordinary flower.
She wears it, if only to look cute in front of Caroline.
Caroline is notably impressed - Roses don’t grow for miles from Michelle's farm and has no idea how Michelle got one.
She begs Michelle to borrow the rose, and Michelle says it’s okay as long as Caroline returns it the next day.
Caroline would later be murdered that night.
Michelle discovered her body, and took it all the way back to the farm to beg for help.
Unfortunately, there was nothing that could be done.
Michelle and the family Herdier, Seymore, bury Caroline by the tree that Michelle used to hang out with her at.
Michelle leaves behind the rose, saying that she won’t need it anymore.
Life for Michelle gets harder when she tries to seek comfort from her father, Roy. Thinking he would sympathize, as he’d lost Michelle's mom, Michelle admits she was in love with Caroline and doesn’t know how to cope.
Roy didn’t take this well, and strongly disapproved of Michelle being attracted to women. Because of this, Michelle ran away from home the next night.
Without Caroline to protect her, gets chased by the wild Mightyena pack.
In an attempt to get away, she tries to jump across a gorge, and falls.
She hits her head, and the last thing she hears is the sound of the Mightyena howling.
Her "corpse" was dragged by the pack to their leader, a shiny Mightyena named Madelyn.
Madelyn used to belong to a trainer, but was abandoned when it was discovered she was expecting puppies. Those puppies became the Mightyena pack that targets Michelle's farm.
Madelyn was different from the rest of her pack. Her children were all feral and mindless due to succumbing to rabies.
Madelyn, who had been vaccinated by her former trainer, was immune to the disease and watched her children lose their minds and slowly die off.
Lonely and desperate to fill the void, she raised the amnesiac Michelle as her own.
Madelyn protected Michelle from her feral children, and taught Michelle that she too had the heart of a Mightyena.
Though she may seem like it, Michelle isn't oblivious to herself being biologically a Mareep, and she isn't deluding herself to believe she is actually of the Mightyena species.
She just believes herself to be Mightyena on the inside, and that's enough for her.
That being said, Michelle's idea of being a Mightyena is skewed from what Madelyn was trying to tell her. She interpreted it as a constant fight to survive, living off of meat, and not allowing herself to be emotionally vulnerable "like a Mareep would be."
She rips out her wool to look more like a Mightyena, and tries hunting and being aggressive, though she never successfully hunts anything and instead just steals prey from her Mightyena "siblings."
Meanwhile, Caroline rises from the dead.
Her memories are scrambled but not lost like Michelle's. However, she has no idea why she's back to life, but she strongly suspects that she was murdered and wants to bring justice to the person who did it.
Entering the nearby dark forest to investigate the crime scene, she stumbles across a Flabébé kid who compliments Caroline on her rose and talks about how the queen of their colony will soon return from the dead.
Caroline gets freaked out by this and leaves.
She decides her next best course of action is to seek out Michelle, who might be able to fill her in on the missing details.
She goes to the Mareep farm, but the sheep are terrified of Caroline and call in Roy for help.
Caroline is aggressively driven away by Roy, who only briefly tells Caroline that Michelle is gone, and that Caroline is no longer welcome.
Caroline is devastated by the loss of her friend and the only lead she had, and returns to the woods to focus her attention entirely on finding her killer.
She instead finds Michelle, who she doesn't recognize without her upward hair curl.
Caroline tries to question her, but Michelle is aloof and unhelpful, refusing to give information, even her name, to an “outsider” like Caroline.
Caroline is rude to her in return, calling her “Mightyreep” behind her back.
Michelle eventually runs off to steal more food from her pack, and Caroline doesn't follow.
She later sees Michelle getting chased by the pack.
Michelle tries jumping the same gorge as before, and seems like she’s going to fall.
Caroline rushes in to save her.
The two are on decent enough terms by this point in the story, and Michelle takes Caroline to the tree she sleeps at - the same one that Caroline was buried under.
Michelle notices that the rose is missing and angrily tells Caroline to return it.
Caroline tries to pull it out, but can't.
Caroline questions why this Mareep would care about the rose, then immediately realizes that this IS Michelle.
She doesn't want to believe this, and flies off.
She returns to the farm while invisible, and speaks to Seymore.
Seymore tells Caroline what he knows about Michelle - How she’d found Caroline's body and brought it back to the farm, and how Seymore helped bury her. After Caroline's death, Michelle left the farm.
Unfortunately, this is all the evidence that Caroline needs to confirm this is Michelle, so she returns.
The next morning, Caroline asks if it really IS Michelle, and she confirms it.
Before Caroline can speak her mind or try to remind Michelle of who she is, Michelle speaks up first.
“Ah kept thinkin’ about it. There’s bin somethin’ itchin’ my mind, since Ah started talkin’ t’ ya. Ah didn’t notice it befer… or maybe Ah pretended not to!”
“But… Lookin’ at ya now… Somethin’ about ya…”
“Feels like home.”
“SO AH’VE DECIDED!”
“MAH FLOWAH TOOK A LIKIN’ TO YOU, SO THAT MEANS YE’RE PART OF MAH TERRITORY NOW, TOO!”
“AND AH NEVAH WANT YAH LEAVIN’ MAH SIGHT AGAIN!”
The two stay friends and somehow manage to rekindle their friendship despite both of their lost memories and the tragedies that happened to them.
It doesn't last, though. Caroline begins to notice that the rose is slowly rooting its way more and more into her body. This didn't bother her at first, but it seems to grow at a supernatural rate.
The colors she had when she was alive are slowly starting to return, too.
Even stranger, one night Caroline has a threatening dream.
She hears a voice, but it doesn’t seem to be talking to her, and ignores her when she questions it.
“If you could hurry it up with this new body of yours, that would be REALLY great!”
“Because I am THIS CLOSE to tearing your petals off one by one.”
Caroline wakes up with the rose entirely covering the cavity in her chest.
It’s overtaking her body at an alarming rate.
And soon, it possesses her body completely.
-
at this point, i’m completely out of art for the story i had planned!
i might continue this soon if it’s requested, but i’ll have to throw in some quick rough sketches to space out the plot.
there’s a lot more than just this, but this summary is pretty image heavy as-is!
