So my girlfriend, who absolutely hates horror, had no interest in seeing “Werewolf by Night” when I told her about it. But when I said, “Gael García Bernal plays the werewolf,” she immediately flipped and said she was down to watch lol.

So My Phone Died Today

(my Samsung finally gave up the ghost, and I now have one of those ancient brick phones that only calls and texts, the texting function is fucked up beyond belief, like even worse than the traditional old school style, and only offers capital letters, so when I messaged Bel to give them my number, the conversation looked a bit like this)

Me: IT

Bel: hey

So, while studying for my final, I went into the Irish rabbit hole of content on YouTube. Started with Jacksepticeye, which led to me branching out to the other Irish Lads, which somehow led to Facts/the TRY Channel. From there, I started watching Graham Norton clips, but specifically the ones with Irish guests. And then I started watching Irish shows like the Late Late Show and Ireland’s version of Dragon’s Den, which led to me looking up Irish movies (there was the Jadotville movie on Netflix and this weird comedy horror one about people summoning the devil). And then I watched a documentary about the Irish military.

I’ve consumed so much Irish content these past few days (actually, could be weeks by now) that when I was talking to my sister and her boyfriend, I subconsciously attempted to do an Irish accent. Specifically, the accent that Call Me Kevin has, you know since Ireland has several different accents. I swear, I didn’t do that on purpose lol. The only explanation I can think of is that, when you’re learning a new language, you have to really immerse yourself in that language in order to pick it up. To a lesser extent, I’ve been immersing myself in so much Irish content that it’s starting to affect my brain.

My girlfriend and I watched the first episode of “Derry Girls”. Maybe this is just me but I felt more anxious and stressed out from the first episode than all of “Uncut Gems”. It was funny, don’t get me wrong, but it just felt like so much was happening at the same time that my brain was stressing out.

Just learned today that I got accepted for an externship at the Cannabis Law Clinic.

I like how my professor, just one day before I have to present my final paper to the class, finally gets back to me with feedback for my rough draft. What’s even better is that her feedback was essentially “you good, fam”.

So…I guess my rough draft is now my final draft lol.
