Hedwig and the Angry Inch! The first show from my season ticket package and I'm so thrilled to be here! #POTAC #soclassy (at Hollywood Pantages Theatre)
So the only actual Popkas left to do are the ones that Nintendo hasn't officially announced (the Mega Latis and the two unrevealed legendaries) so I'm going to wait until we get official word on what's up with those. When we get more info, I'll draw them and post them.
So in the meantime, I'm resuming my redraws of Pokemon Quartz sprites. Pokemon Quartz is a R/S romhack done by a Spanish guy named Baro. He made new original sprites to overlay over EVERY Pokemon that existed at the time and most of them are hilarious. All the sprites are available to view on his personal site and I got all the names from some videos. My aim is to faithfully reproduce each design and figure out wtf is going on with some of them because they are weird as hell. I already did all of the 1st gen Quartz Popkas, around the time 6th gen was being released.
So we begin our quest with this severed Chikorita head, which has grown feet and is running around on its own.
For Grass-type designs, Baro seems to fall back a lot on the concept of seeds turning into bigger plants. We don't see a lot of animals with planty bits incorporated into their designs. It's kind of a letdown, especially when starter Pokemon are usually more obviously animal-based.
