Kiki Smith and the Colab collective explore the shared hallucination of the American media by submitting themselves to the rapture in a cardboard submersible on public access TV.
Early on in its founding, Collaborative Projects’ broad-based group produced weekly public-access cable TV series – or “artists’ cable television” – in an effort to provide an alternative to mainstream media news programming.
Tonight's film "Cave Girls" (10:00, in the Girls Gone Wild shorts program) actually originated as material for the above no wave television show.
