Name: Lara Veselov

Home: Moscow, Russia. She was living with her Watcher.

Notes: Her Watcher was killed by Bringers in front of her a few days before Ms. Leela was able to locate her.  She is still recovering from injuries acquired in her escape.

Though she cannot prove it, Ms. Leela suspects Lara and her Watcher were romantically involved. She may present to you as incredibly hostile, but in all likelihood, she is mourning someone she loved.

Giles’ Notes: Priya

Name: Priya Dhankhar

Age: 16

Home: Punjab, India. Lives with her mother, paternal grandparents, sister (18) and brother (13). Her father died of cancer last year.

Training and skills: The Council only established contact with her eighteen months ago, while her father was in the end stages of his battle with cancer. Priya was very close with her father. She understands the basics of her destiny, but had not yet begun combat training of any sort.

Languages: Punjab, Hindi, beginners level English

Notes: Priya is in a deep depression because of her father’s death. No doubt, you can relate. Her Watcher had set off for London a week before the explosion where I am fairly certain she died. Ms. Leela was able to find Priya and convince her to come to us.

Giles’ Notes: Ming Xi

Name: Ming Xi Lin

Age: 16

Home: Shanghai, China

Training and skills: 2 years. She is an excellent researcher with deep historical knowledge. She specializes in ranged weapons, though not as a high level.

Languages: Mandarin, intermediate French

Notes: Ming Xi has severe asthma. She is dependent on her inhaler, making combat training difficult.  While I suspect her breathing will be a bit easier outside of her polluted city, we need to figure out how we can get her more medicine and keep her safe.

Home: Buenos Aires, Argentina. Lives with her mother and father.

Notes: Her father blew me off as a superstitious “monk,” I believe was the word he used. I lied to her, saying she’d be able to study dance in America if she came with me.

Notes: Her Watcher, not a fan of ours, was killed in the explosion, Maya, who is hoping to study political science at university, spent an hour debating duty, safety, and our reprehensible reputations before agreeing to come with me. You would do well to give her plenty of tasks. She seems the sort to revel in work and lash out when ignored.

Home: Karaganda, Kazakhstan. Lives with her mother and brother (15). Her father works for the oil industry and is absent for months at a time.

Notes: Verusha wants to be a star. Please imagine this being said with abundant enthusiasm. When I told her that not only were we going to California, but that you were also from Los Angeles, “City of Dreams,” she ran to her bedroom to pack. She may try to befriend you for your strong Hollywood connections.

Name: Fernanda Alanso

Age: 17

Home: La Plata, Argentina. Lives with her older brother (25) and his wife and daughter (1). Her parents are further out in the country.

Training and skills: Uninitiated

Languages: Spanish

Notes: She’s a bit clumsy, always bumping things and people. While part of this is due to the fact that she doesn’t pay much attention to her surroundings (dangerous for a Slayer), I suspect she is in need of glasses.

Training and skills: Uninitiated, however, she and her husband, who is about ten years her senior, run a martial arts training facility. Expert in judo and kra maga. Skilled in many other styles.

Notes: She has said little, but she is always fingering a small plush doll, thoughts of her daughter never far.
