The way Pothos is depicted with Pelops and Hippodamia multiple times… like it would be one thing if it’s just Eros bc of course he’d be there for a couple but Pothos? That’s some interesting and on the nose symbolism. Pelops literally begged Poseidon to help him win Hippodamia.
However, I think Pothos is there more to symbolize what Hippodamia is feeling since the middle vase vase her preparing for the marriage/race, with no Pelops in sight, since she really really reaaaaaally wants to be with Pelops and escape her father.
