And you certainly wouldn't know that he knew about the skills you kept a buried secret.
Those skills you only exhibited when you were alone, in the darkness of the stage.
The singing, which you had come to identify as complex, sultry, and syncopated. Over time, your singing ability had only grown, and now you could even improvise the melody as you sang.
And the acrobatics; a skill you'd been perfecting since you were a young child and something you had a passion for.
Yet, you hadn't been alone as you thought. He had been watching every time.
To the world, you were simply a member of the staff, directing those attending the operas to their seats, assisting the staff in setting up props, and organizing costumes.
But to him, to the infamous Phantom of the opera, you were far more than that.
Slowly, but ever so surely, falling in love with your skill, your voice, your kind personality...you.
