It only seemed appropriate, that today, Halloween, we look at what started it all, James and Lily Potter’s death. We don’t care how many times you’ve read these books, their deaths still hurt. Don’t lie.

“He’s here. Somewhere in the castle. Sirius Black!”

Today we’re remembering the Halloween where Sirius Black broke into the castle, tore up the picture of the fat lady, and showed us all how dramatic he really was.

“Troll in the Dungeon! Thought you ought to know.”

Today, we’re remembering Harry’s first Halloween at Hogwarts, the one where a troll “mysteriously” appeared in the castle, and the trio faced their first monster together.

And the champions for the Triwizard tournament will be...

Today, we’re remembering the Halloween where the Triwizard champions were chosen, Harry’s name was called regardless, and he spent the rest of his school year trying not to die (so nothing new, really.)

It’s the week before Halloween!

So that means we here at Mugglenet are getting super excited, and we figured the best way to celebrate is to take a look back on all the eventful things that happened on Halloween in the Harry Potter world.

The first event we want to remember is Nearly Headless Nick’s deathday party, which was, perhaps, the first Hogwarts party we aren’t sure we wanted to attend.
