Behold. A jar.
Custom mixed slip, plus two studio glazes I’d never used before. I think I like it more every day. I catch myself looking at the glaze and how it catches the light. What should I fill it with?
Just don’t eat borscht in it
My fun little mistake. I messed up with underglaze so I figured I’d cover it up with some glazed and happened to choose two new ones I’d never worked with before. So the result is food safe enough for some chips, definitely not for soup. No borscht, as the pottery studio manager directed.
Back at it again with another piece I made! Made it with love. And coils.
People like something I did?
I've only been doing pottery for a couple of months and it's honestly such a hard art form. Like, it does not come naturally to me at all, and every new thing I learn I have to work pretty hard at. But I love it so much and the fact that I shared two pieces I did in February and people liked them? Enough to share it on their own blogs?
For those who asked me if I have a website
Well, now I have an instagram for my pottery, found here
hiya!! i just wanted to say the cup and plate you posted last month are gorgeous. those strawberries must have taken forever to paint, but it really pays off!! 🍓💚
I actually used a transfer paper! I'm not very confident in my decoration skills (yet?) so that's a fun way to add designs that look super crisp on the stuff I've made.
