I have posted about Pour Deux before. A japanese streetwear brand (now discontinued) pulling inspiration of the large avantgarde designers. Their most notable influences were Comme's quirky crazyness, Yohji's elegant tailoring and here Helmut Lang, Raf Simons or old Prada perhaps? But the fact they're not this huge fashion house doesn't take away that their clothing is so well designed. I love the perfectly placed cargo pockets, the leather front with a subtle green undertone so that it just differs enough from the pitch black nylon sleeves and back. There is only a little menswear on the website, I know. But since womenswear has been evolved to be quite on point, for me menswear is a huge gamble. I still need to find the style and learn so much much more about designer's menswear collections. But to lift a tip of the veil and get you a bit excited: I will be presenting an mini-collection of Lieve Van Gorp. 5 pieces: 2 women, 2 men and 1 accessory. So yes you guys will get more soon! Look at the front of this shirt. It has been decorated with overlapping rectangle panels. If you get major Yohji vibes, you are close. It is actually designed by Pour Deux. Pour Deux is a now-discontinued brand that made streetstyle fashion with an avant-garde twist. You can clearly see that Yohji influence in their work such as this shirt. I will also be bringing in more unknown and streetstyle brands because let's be honest, not everyone has a 3k FW1992 Margiela Vareuse budget. And as promised a new niche Belgian designer will be presented in the next pre-sale. It’s french.

I suppose I anointed this petit blog of eats and treats in french solely for attractiveness…( my taste buds have yet to experience their food… ) Although, I am up for trying a little escargot if it shimmies its way onto my plate one day. And “for two” because I most often favor to dine with my main man or some kindred spirit with a common palate… or just with myself puttin’ down a second serving.

… Also, I’m usually pretty indecisive when it comes to menu choices so co-dining doubles my chances of stealing a taste of another plate. Ingenious? I think so.  I thank my significant other (grill master, co-chef and equal owner of these posts) for not being one of those non-sharing germ-a-phobes. (xo)

I know, I know. EVERYONE and their mothers are “foodies” (ps there HAS to be a better epithet, I mean really).  And without shame, we’ve replaced saying “grace” with Instagramming religiously before meals.

I guess I’m one of em… Here lies my plea: Food is an art, and I am the guilty amateur artist. My senses are hyper-exhilarated by each moment; from plotting to executing to devouring.  Whether I be cooking or enjoying someone else's, three or more meals a day are fine opportune times to exercise and stretch my creative bone….to be soon followed by some much needed traditional exercising and stretching.
