Mica Powder
To develop the idea of motion further I looked for inspiration on artsy.net and came across work by Yee Wong called Exploding Colour Movement. I love the effect of this work and wanted to try and re-create this myself.

I used Mica Powder to try and create the same effect.
I was a little disappointed in how the colour turned out in this, it wasn’t as vibrant as I thought it would be.
I also tried dropping the powder onto the paper but again the colour vibrancy didn’t come through.
I also took these into Snapseed and Adobe Capture to play around with filters but I still don’t think it worked so well.
I am going to try this technique again on a black background to see if it enhances the colour.
