i can definitely see the open to communication part with the wheel of fortune here, but i don’t think ED will have an urge to actively reach out. but if sm happens that reminds him of you and also in a case of ‘oh that’s a person i can reach out to if __ happens or if i need help with anything’. he’s taken a bit of a back seat and has a mindset of it if it’s meant to be, your paths will cross again ( i don’t really sense romantic feelings here if that’s what you’re looking for).

as for what he thinks/feels about you, he feels like you bring a very fresh energy and outlook on things. but it isn’t purely childish either, there’s a maturity and confidence that backs it. he could have initially felt you were bit too idealistic and your head was in the sky (naive) but eventually he noticed you also have the confidence and responsibility to back your ideas up with.

he could have seen you improve and gain maturity too and impression of you has positively changed according to that. (ngl he could have looked down on you in the beginning. and you might stressed him out a lil perhaps in the project you worked together on. i don't know if he's ever communicated this to you though.)

he does ultimately have a bit of respect/admiration for how you’ve evolved.

i know the question asked what genre of book would you and your future spouse's relationship belong to, but i hope it's okay to give tropes since that's what was coming through. i'll try to summarise it into a genre at the end for you.

as soon as death rev showed up, i heard the lines "and i can still see it all in my head, back and forth from new york, sneaking in your bed," from daylight so i think this love could find you at the tailend of a painful chapter or after a particularly tough heartbreak. it doesn't even have to come from a relationship, it could just come from a 'realization' that "oh, i don't think the love i dream of is meant for people like me."

i also heard "i hate everyone here but you" from that one ed sheeran and jb song (which is also a trope). that could be your energy too but it's more likely to be your future spouse's. the spanish love deception is also coming through so maybe for some reason you believe that your fs does not like you but he's actually had a crush on you the entire while.

there will be a point where he's being really considerate and trying to show you his affection through actions but this will still be when you think he doesn't like you or you don't really trust him, so internally you'll be like "i'm just gonna stfu and sit down" or "i'm reading way to much into this. as if that could be possible."

him consistently showing up for you in tiny little ways will mean so much for you though. and he does it in such a way that he doesn't really expect any sort of reward or credit. i wouldn't be surprised if he does something nice for you or gives you a gift and you don't know who it is from.

so i think your future bf is a very active person and doesn't like dates where you have to stand/sit still. this is lowkey the type of person who'd suggest hiking on the first date if he feels like you'd be into that.

activities that came up were laser tag, rock climbing (and hiking of course.) could potentially be into bird watching but i'm not too sure about that. this person is very fond of nature and has an appreciation for art. so museum dates or some sort of workshop where there's some sort of hands-on activity would be this person's ideal date.

i also got the message that a movie date would have this person bored out of their mind because they'd have to sit in one place for a very long period of time. they might put up with it just because they like the person but they'd much rather do a picnic at least.

okay so first of all, this is going to be a place filled with a lot of people. three main scenarios came into my head—a really boring class/exam, during a driving license test or when you're working the counter for a part time job. maybe a cinema hall?

the part time scenario is coming through really strongly (need not be a cinema job). i think you'll be at the end of a really boring shift, or it'll be a really boring period and there'll be some sort of supervisor present in front of whom you'll have to do a good job, but even they're very lackluster about it. on this day, you'll be feeling very frustrated and annoyed with your life. you could already be planning on what to do. i feel like your thoughts could alternate between getting your life together or going home to relax ("i'm going to go home and eat ___ and watch that series i've been putting off, and nothing's going to stop me!")

and i think that's when you'll see your future gf. she's mostly by herself or just with one or two other people. she's a bit quiet but she has a nice, calm and self-satisfied smile on her face. and on such a drab day, that stands out to you and grabs your attention. her outfit could be a bit plain and not really stand out during the first meeting though. you guys may or may not exchange words but that smile of hers will linger and you'll keep thinking about it for some reason.
