There aren't too many things that can ruin Five's favorite class of the day — there's just something so soothing about the usual late afternoon Potions lesson, with the light clinking of the cauldrons, the gentle hissing of steam and vapor, the soft bubbling of all the various liquids as they boil and simmer on their burners, and the precision of the work, the exact measurements and repetitive movements inherent in potionmaking — but finding out he has to pair up with Prue Starling, the golden girl of Gryffindor House, to make a childishly simple draught that really only requires one person anyway, is almost enough to make him turn around and walk right back out of the dungeons.

Okay, so maybe Five has never actually had a full conversation with Prue Starling before, and he's making an unfair judgment of her based on her reputation. Sue him. He's never actually had a full conversation with any of the other students at Hogwarts before, not even his own housemates, so it's not like it's anything personal. It's just that he's not here to make friends.

But he is here to get full marks in all of his classes, so he doesn't turn around and walk right back out of the dungeons like he very much wants to. He just gets to work, gathering the ingredients and settling in the seat beside his partner without complaint, or even any outward expressions of hostility. Maybe he should just count himself lucky it was only Starling, because there are far worse Gryffindors he could have easily ended up with.

Right on cue, his gaze drifts over to Dolores Ramirez, two desks down, infuriating as always in her bright red robes. Even when she's nowhere near him, she manages to be a distraction, joking around with her own partner so loud the whole room can hear it.

Five pointedly turns back to his own seatmate, refocusing his attention on their potion instead. The cauldron must have already reached a boil, because his face is burning all of a sudden. Even so, the liquid inside their shared pot is distinctly greener than it should be at this stage...

"Did you already add the first round of moonstone?"

"Sis, anything can be a lethal weapon," she laughed, looking at the Monopoly board game. "But I don't think this would qualify as one." Though she knew that it brought on plenty of arguments between everyone. it was such a tense game for being just a board game.

   “ Alrigh’, you know the deal. One more each and then bed, the lot of you. ” That includes you too, boy, not just your sisters. Two were complacent in their sugar fueled exhaustion, ready to crash hard into dessert comas..their son of course fought the sleepy haze like a warrior, determined not to miss a moment of family night action. Braving their ways through one last over-sized bite of mum’s berry crumble, Cowboy at their feet licking any and every crumb he could possibly manage from their decks stained floor. Then there were grumbles, tiny pleas of detest as they nestled further into their blankets, gently drifting off in the porch’s soft rope lighting. But they’d talked about this earlier. They knew the plan for tonight, even helped him set the backyard up just right for a night of deserved relaxation for their mother. So the lion lifted their two young lionesses with caution, Prue carrying their son, and together managed to lay their three cubs to rest..easier than usual, post-breakfast bribery. “And...they’re out,” he whispered, leading his wife by the hand to (as silently as possible) ease the last child’s door near closed, leaning in a bit closer to his witch once her back brushed hall wall. “honey,” he continued, slyly grazing newly trimmed beard along her upper jaw just that way that she liked, to keep his voice down, of course. “ I have something for you. Meet me outside in..say, ten minutes?” A small sweep of smooth knuckles with the tip of his thumb, then. Lifting his wife’s hand to leave a cordial kiss just atop the second set before setting back for their yard.

  Ten minutes was all that he needed, if that. All day he and the kids spent arranging the yard just so, hidden well enough that Prue wouldn’t notice any immediate change but easy enough to uncover in just moment’s notice. Without hesitation Danny switched on their newest source of ambiance; garden lights leading up to the benched garden area that she liked to come settle in during the day, hanging rope lights sifted through trees extra carefully as not to be cause for concern. A small speaker connected to his phone was pre-set to a playlist of..mostly acoustics that he’d coordinated himself earlier in the day, specific songs he knew only Prue would follow reference to, just waiting to hit play. He’d lit a small fire for the two of them to keep any flying critters off, two glasses set aside for whatever Prue may choose to divulge in at this hour. Their home was plenty full in terms of wine, sparkling water, juices, coffee, what have you. This late at night, Prue could choose as she wished, even if all she wanted was a Perrier. Still he’d arranged a small platter of fruit and vegan marshmallows that they could roast at liege, the atmosphere just right for his wife to just relax and unwind. It needn’t be too fancy, Prue didn’t always want exquisite, more-so comfortable but beautiful. Just the way they’d always loved it.

  Lastly, he’d shed the tee-shirt that he’d been wearing for hours upon hours. Playing with the kids, the dog, it would throw off the peaceful energy he was trying to cast. He could have used magic to set a scene, and sometimes he did, but other times he liked to just create for her with how own hands instead. His..and tiny helping ones, too. Replacing garment with a fresh black Henley, one that he knew his wife liked, he simply stood in the middle of two lit trees and waited for her to step back outside for their date to begin. “ -- hello, love. ”

Tom was more upset that he'd been caught than worried about his upcoming detention. It'd been such a tricky bit of spellwork, too. He fidgeted with his wand ("Try this one: blackthorn and dragon heartstring, 11 and a half inches, rather malleable," Ollivander had said, two years ago. Then, once it had proven a match for him: "How very interesting."), half-tempted to finish the spell as his eyes tracked his irate Head of House. The man's hair was pink, his robes fiercely orange and trailing heaps of glitter. The robes were supposed to change colors, but he'd been interrupted. He glanced at the only other person in the room, a Gryffindor girl in his year. Halliwell. He'd never have guessed she was the one pranking bigots. He thought it was the Weasley twins.

Detention. For a month. With Snape. Cleaning the school cauldrons. Without magic. Shit. Tom regretted the spell just a tiny bit now. After all, he wasn't just going to sit there while anyone mocked Potter for being an orphan, teacher or no.

He put his wand away, rolled up his sleeves, and started in on the cleaning, stubbornly ignoring the pain from all the welts on his back, mentally calculating how many more he'd receive when he went home for the summer and da found out how much he'd been in detention. "Oi, Halliwell. You a'right?" She looked horrified. "The cauldrons aren't that bad." He hoped she couldn't somehow tell he had lycanthropy. He really didn't want to get expelled.

2x09 charmed review

Sorry for the late review I haven't been feeling to well. I'm still not but I wanted to write about what I thought about Friday's new episode. Lets begin I want to start off talking about Mel. I just love her new power im glad that she now has an active power Macy doesn't have to do everything now. She was always a badass even before she discovered a new power. I love Mel because she loves taking care of her family unlike their father. Don't worry I will get to him later.

Maggie: I love that she is maturing now not really worried about boys these days. After what Parker did to her she says she's closing up her heart for good. I know Maggie is hurt and doesn't trust men right now but I'm pretty sure she's going to fall for someone eventually when she gets her trust back. But I'm happy she's doesn't want anyone now. She is working on herself now which i like.

Now my favorite character Macy: I'm a little upset that she still hasn't upgraded her powers yet. I know that she was the first person to discover her demon powers work. But what about her witch power? Its like Macy has been cut off from the family and the Elders. Even though she is a charmed one just like Mel and Maggie. Its like she's an outsider like she's not really a charmed one and I hate that. Just because she has some demon in her doesn't mean she's not a good witch. She is a very good person that deserves her active witch powers back. Thats the one thing that I didnt like about this episode. Macy trying everything yet the black amber doesn't work on her. Maybe its an emotional thing. That maybe her active witch powers arent working because her conflicted feelings for Harry. Love and anger that he kissed Abigail. If she let out her anger or tell Harry how she feels then maybe just maybe her witch powers will come back.

Harry: I'm a little concerned with Harry right now. Because he was starting to act like James a little bit. With his anger towards Mel and Maggie's father. Which I could understand but their were some James like emotions. Also he was wearing the same black shirt that James wore when he had Macy. I know though its not James he's out their somewhere pretending he's dead. Anyway I love seeing a jealous Harry. You could tell it was really bothering him that she was laughing and going to dinner with Julien. I just hope that he realizes that he wants Macy and no one else. That means Abigail. I want him to tell her how he feels then maybe she will kick Julien to the curb.

Jordan: Now Jordan is a nice guy and all but he's getting to curious for his own good. I just hope he doesn't become a threat to the sisters once he figure out who they are. Because the way its looking like he's close into finding out that they are witches. Maybe he's doing it because he almost died or that maybe he secretly likes Maggie. We will find out soon enough maybe next episode.

Julien: I'm a little worried that Julien is James master. Because he was to interested in Macy to quickly. Some random dude happens to understand Macy about science. It can't be a coincidence I think it was planed. Also I believe he might ask her to work with him since he now knows she is a biochemist or something. I though have a feeling he might be evil I'm just saying he just might.

Ray: I wasn't expecting Mel's and Maggie's father to be alive but it was spoiled in the promo. I thought he knew about magic and to keep his children safe he left. But that's not it at all he ran because he's a thief and some bad men was after him typical. Even though Ray saved Maggie's life I still dont trust him. Because of him the darklighter has gotten out just because he was too greedy to sell things to care about the safety of his children. Oh well also I wonder if he knew about Macy. That Marisol had another child with a different man. Because he looked at her shocked but didnt say anything about it. Anyway thats all for the review i hope you enjoyed reading it.
