@andysuriano really knocked it out of the park!

Not only are the manga-esque Special Fantasy Sequences in the PPG episode "Substitute Creature" wildly outrageous, but Andy Suriano's rough but realistic caricatures of gorgeous Ms. Keane and the Pokey Oaks Kindergarten students are solid and outstanding!

Andy deserves more appreciation for this.

TODAY'S THE DAY!!!!

Words can not even begin to describe how much this show and these little girls mean to me. This was my favorite show growing up, but because I was a little boy and went to a school where I would've been made fun of to hell and back if anyone knew I liked it, I kept quiet about it.

None of that stopped me from watching and enjoying three little girls kick the living crap out of monsters and bad guys alike.

These girls meant a lot to everyone, not just in Townsville, but to boys and girls alike around the country (and world) who tuned in to watch them do what they do best. Sure, the (original) show ended almost 20 years ago, but Blossom, Bubbles, Buttercup, and everyone else live on through our memories, stories, fan arts, you name it. I'll NEVER stop loving these girls, especially my personal favorite, Buttercup. With that said:

Today (November 18, 2023) marks the 25th anniversary of Cartoon Network's "The Powerpuff Girls"!

To celebrate this occasion, I thought it was right to acknowledge something special that happened to celebrate the show's 20th anniversary.

On November 16, 2018, Fridays celebrated the occasion by having the trio host the show (in the hopes that no crime happened while they were out of Townsville).

Meanwhile, Tommy and Tara are in Paris, interviewing the cast of "Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald".

Q: Why was the celebration called a "kickoff"?

A: This Fridays show kicked of what we named the "Powerpuff Girls 20th Birthday Weekend Marathon", since the actual anniversary wasn't until Sunday.

Q: What did you air this week?

A: We were told by the higher ups not to change the lineup. I think they wanted us to save the PPG episodes for the marathon on Saturday and Sunday.

Q: Well, then what did you change?

A: Obviously, I mentioned a few things already (interviewing, the PPG hosting, etc.), but the set was also decorated.

Q: Did you ever talk about how terrible the reboot is?

A: Nah, we thought it was best to simply not acknowledge the reboot at all.
