#Repost @senior.dogs.matter ・・・ PAWLICIOUS POOCHIE PET RESCUE🙏 NINE chihuahuas smashed in a rusted cage, together with rope, rusted wire bottom , no food, no water and dumped in an alley in St. Petersburg Florida. Discovered by St. Pete Police officers who follow PPPR. They called me and asked if I could help. Until they arrived, the reality of just how cruel, sick, heartless and sad this is hits you like a brick to your head. Who knows how long they’ve been smashed in that cage in the alley. Scared. Missing eyes, nails so long they curled over and over, covered in urine and feces, not only covered in water their fur is matted with waste, skin irritations, fleas and the list of neglect is lengthy. Cleverly breeder dogs dumped as some have holes in their ears where tags ripped out. I’m completely sick to my stomach. A case like this is meant for the big guys who are grant and corporate funded but let’s be honest all these dogs would be euthanized upon arrival at those facilities. With PPPR they will have a chance. All will need bloodwork, vaccines, spays, neuters, dentals, grooms, X-rays, some will need eye and skin tests, heartworm tests and that’s barely scratching the surface. They will al be transported when the sun rises to Partridge Animal Hospital. A long, expensive day ahead tomorrow to get these precious souls back on track. This type of cruelty and neglect is simply mind blowing. Sickening. Heartbreaking. I’ve managed to get everyone out of the rusted death trap they were thrown away. Everyone drank water like crazy. They are on soft blankies and I’m just letting them decompress. A little food because they were starving. Tomorrow will indeed be a new day for these wee ones.
