How to use Transitions in PPT
In our previous guides, we covered inserting pictures and using animations when preparing PowerPoint presentations. Today we cover something that isn’t brought up much when talking about good PPTs and that’s Transitions. PowerPoint is a very static medium in its base form and a good PPT tries to negate this feeling as much as possible. While colourful pictures and animated objects certainly stand out in good PPTs, the transition between slides is usually ignored resulting in a hard cut away from one slide to the next. Adding slide transition leads to a smoother movement between slides and adds another layer of professionalism to your PPT. Follow the steps below to add transitions to your PPTs.
To get started click on the slide/slidesyou wish to use a transition on. You can find the slides on the left side of the screen.
Next click on the Transitions tab located at the top left of the screen. You’ll be greeted with a wide variety of animations for the object. Simply click on the option that suits the tone of your PPT and you’re good to go.
After adding transitions to all the slides, you can switch to full-screen mode and switch between slides to see the transition effects.
