3 tv shows i associate with jannik, carlos & novak for one reason or another

jannik - mr robot
i can't pinpoint why exactly but elliot's monotone voice + his face and expressions slightly remind me of jannik and vice versa (it's the eyes and mouth i think?). but other than that luckily the only similarity is they're both very self-assured and almost arrogant inside their respective professional environments (on court/on the computer)

btw despite what the premise might say or what you might think from the first few episodes, this show is NOT about hacking. and yes it can be quite corny but i think of it as a sweet show (you have to get through all the horrors first though)

carlos - ping pong the animation
well what can i even say:
carlos is obviously peco though they do have some differences, and so the logical next step would be to say jannik is smile (yes one of the protagonists is called "smile") but i think in their case there are even more differences than with carlos/peco
tennis fans, go watch ping pong the animation if you haven't already! it's unique and it's just 11 episodes of 20 mins each

novak - succession
this one was a bit lazy but tbf because of his long career and all that's happened there are a lot of shows that i could associate with him. so i wanted to ride the wave of recent janole succession edits, and novak does also fit into generational power struggle dynamics and sharp tongues
i don't necesseraily identify him exclusively with logan though, he can be many of the other characters too depending on the situation

btw none of these is my favourite show (black sails) but they're all shows i liked a lot
