I love this show
don't mind me just collecting a new guy
I finally got to see the Project Runway Reunion.
I still love Kelly even if she was semi problematic at the Reunion.
I’d forgiven her for the Paintball Challenge I was just hoping she’d handle the reunion questioning with a little more grace.
Although everyone dragging Candice across the motherfucking floor was delicious.
"My collection is Asian infused"- said Candace Cuoco a million times.
At first I thought Kelly's collection looked a little....ew. But it turned out great in the end. I loved everything except for the glitter shoes. *whispers* she should have won.
I like Ashely and I'm proud of her. But Kelly or Edmond should have won. Every one had something in their collection that wasn't great. The judges made Edmond doubt who he was. But the Ruffles weren't that great.
Live Blog of Project Runway Finale!
Spoilers, FYI. All the spoilers.
I didn’t see this yesterday because I went to see Candis Cox and her husband talk about the transgender experience. Everybody today has been trying to talk to me about PR. -_-
Candice and Edmond need to be shaken up. Their collections were awful.
I love Kelly. I didn’t expect to like her at the beginning. But she’s one of my favorites now.
Candice’s collection is so costumey. It looks like what someone thinks Romantic Goth looks like. Which is so weird because she seems to be Goth; yes, she’s more Industrial than her woman appears to be, but still she’s Goth.
Kelly and Glitter! OTP!
Tim and I like the same thing about Kelly’s collection. Fashion is fun! It’s an art, and it can be a happy one. Kelly seems to be the only designer this season who feels that way.
Candice’s show stopper piece looks like a Civil War gown in modern colors.
Fit is super important for Ashley’s collection. As a big girl, the difference between me looking fierce and looking like a slob is literally how it fits. I can’t wear oversized stuff because I’ll look like a slob and if it’s too tight, I look like I’m popping out of it.
Edmond wants to do too much. I think he needs to do too much because those ruffles are hideous. HIDEOUS.
I love when Tim tells mentor stories. I want to squish him. Also, he identifies as asexual, homoromantic, which I love. Our only other asexual representative in popular culture is Sheldon f’ing Cooper.
G.A.! I need to go to because I want glitter on everything! I don’t put glitter on everything, but I want to.
Candice’s laser cut leather jacket is one of my favourite things this season. It’s a little too kimono-y, but I still love it.
Everybody is wearing urban wear in the work room, including people who have never worn it before. I wonder why.
Is Candice wearing a rosary tucked into her shirt? I’ve never noticed that, but it’s in every scene now.
The Sally Beauty guy wants everybody to have shiny hair.
Aw! He hugged Ashley! He didn’t hug anyone else.
The guy from Lexus looks like a less fabulous Tim.
What the hell is Edmond’s coat?
I think Kelly’s runway outfit pants are see through…
And right before the runway, I have to go to class. SADNESS!
If any students try to talk to me about PR, I’m probably going to screech, “ivenotseenityettheyregettingreadytodorunwayiwantkellytowinbutialsowantashleytowindidkellygotoofarAHHH!” That should stop them. :)
One of my students ruined who won.
Heidi and Nina look like they coordinated their clothing and didn’t tell Carrie Underwood.
Kelly from the Deli! I like the outfit she actually wore on the runway better than her see through outfit.
The brown crocodile crop top is...weird. Something’s up with that.
I love the teal sequin tank.
Kelly’s collection is absolutely her. It’s also super cute. I wouldn’t wear most of it, but there’s a woman out there who would look gorgeous in it. I also liked her styling. It looks really good together, but it’s a little too ‘70s, I feel.
What the hell is that weird blue cloud dress, Edmond?
OMG. HIs white ruffle dress looks like the love child of a loofah, a jellyfish, and a toilet roll. WTF?
I’m just not feeling Edmond’s collection. It doesn’t look very polished to me. And it feels kinda cheap for some reason. I definitely don’t see a classy, sexy woman in this.
What the hell is Candice’s skirt?
The cherry blossom dress was a good start, but it doesn’t fit with the next outfits at all.
The red leather gown is my favourite thing Candice made.
The Civil War dress looks SO MUCH BETTER without the hoop and crinoline.
I prefer Candice’s collection a lot more. She got rid of a lot of the bothersome stuff and streamlined it. However, I don’t see the Asian influence beyond the kimono jacket and the cherry blossom dress. I like it, but it does seem a bit much and a little bit severe. However, it is very much a Candice collection.
Maybe it’s because of how many pictures I’ve seen of this collection, but Ashley’s is underwhelming.
I love the lace shorts and how much fun her models seem to be having.
The dark purple lace dress is gorgeous.
I hate rompers in general.
I hate that flower dress. It looks ridiculous.
I love Ashley’s collection. I’m trying to remember the joy I had when I first saw it. It’s a lot of lace and a lot of pastel, but I love lace and I love incorporating pastel into my dark colors. I also love that she showed all Plus Sized models. Of course, she was, but that doesn’t make it less awesome. I think her collection is probably the most fashionable; it’s very ready to wear. However, Kelly’s is the most artistic in my opinion.
I also forgot Carrie Underwood had been on American Idol. Heidi and I are like twins.
Kelly’s collection definitely looks like Studio 54 and urban streetwear. I think her techniques are really good and she put the most work in.
Heidi just called a fanny pack chic. We are no longer twins.
I hate Ashley’s fashion muse’s outfit. It’s crazy and ugly. I agree with Nina that the first outfit was fantastic. I agree with Carrie that the plum dress was the best.
I agree with Zac. Ashley took the easy route a couple of times. I don’t think she put in as much work as Kelly, but I think she had a better eye.
I agree with Nina that Candice’s first dress was really good. I would’ve loved to have seen a whole collection like that. I’m not a huge leather person, but it works. I want to see more femininity from her, though.
Heidi agreed that Edmond’s white dress looks like toilet paper.
I agree with Nina that Edmond seems to respect women quite a bit. His work is also stronger when it’s pared down and not trying too hard. However, I hate his collection. I don’t know why. :(
I think it’s obviously down to Kelly and Ashley. I know who’s going to win. I can’t decide if I agree with it, though.
While I love that Ashley won, I feel so sorry for Kelly. I would’ve been happy regardless of who won. They’re just too different styles. Kelly is the streetwear, artistic type; Ashley is the feminine, ready-to-wear type. I think both women are going to go fairly far, especially if Kelly keeps growing.
YAY! ASHLEY! I’ve wanted something from her since the beginning. I know I can’t afford it, but I really want something. Nina and Ashley’s mom talking in Spanish was awesome, too. I know Tim is excited because he’s been pushing for a plus sized winner since the beginning. His love of plus women is really refreshing.
Who is Rachel Zoe? And why should I care?
I’ve never heard anyone with such flat intonation who made it on TV....
Snap Judgements--Project Runway Final Shows
Because hiding spoilers. And watching on my third glass of wine.
Also, I suck at fashion, because what I love is always what the judges despise.
