Please prepare. We will have a special exam for those who FAILED the courses.
- Half of our class period will be allotted for a review of our former lessons.
- The other half will be for special examination on September 13 (Wednesday) and September 14 (Thursday).
For those who passed the courses, expect a much higher grade. You are the hope of OUR (not their) future.

Tips
Avoid words that have no purpose. Examples are “methods”, “results”, and “research”.
General statement of the problem can be rewritten into the research title.

Statement of the Problem
General Statement of the Problem – contains the main objective, main or major variables, participants, setting, and date (and intended outputs for development research)
Specific Statement of the Problem– in question form – defines the population – identify the variables being studied
Factor-Isolating Questions (What is this?) – questions that isolate, categorize, describe, or name factors and situations
Factor-Relating Questions (What is happening?) – determine the relationship among variables
Situation-Producing Questions (How can I make this happen?) – set goals for actions, develop plans and ideas, and identify the conditions
Situation-Relating Questions (What will happen if…?) – only applicable for experimental research design
