Thieves were everywhere, and it didn’t surprise Zuko in the slightest. He had succumbed once to the thieving lifestyle when he was branded a traitor and had to fend for himself. Still, though it wasn’t anything new for him, pickpocketing got on his nerves.
Especially when he was on the target.
Zuko had been quick to react, pulling his dual swords from their sheathes by his side and lashing out towards the pickpocket. The man squeaked as the blades reached towards his neck and hovered in place. “If that’s as quick as you can move, then you’re in the wrong profession. C’mon, hurry up before you test my patience.”
The firebender directed the thief along the sidewalk, golden eyes searching for someone that could quite possibly help the terribly strange duo. Finally, Zuko spotted someone and approached them, his swords still lingering around the thief’s throat.
“Don’t you dare think you can get away,” he scolded, minimizing the threshold between his dao blades and the thief. His good eye narrowed at the man before it flickered towards the stranger. “I heard there are stations with guards here. Can you point me towards it?”
