16. YES. ALL THE TIME. And I’m usually not so good at hiding anything. Sometimes, but rarely.
20. It’s between “Love in a Box” by The Workday Release and “Hourglass” by Catfish and the Bottlemen
34. Well, there are A LOT of these, and I’m not afraid to admit that since I know I’m a clumsy dork. But probably the most recent happened during the last show I was in. Long story short, me and this other girl were in charge of moving this foam “wall” on stage during one part. We also had to put some stairs next to it and usually I was on the side away from the wall, but one show I happened to grab the wrong side of the stairs. It was at that point I realized “So, I actually have hips that are bigger than I thought” because I backed up in to the “wall” and it started to tip over. Luckily, I barely caught it in time before it actually fell, but I felt really embarrassed. And even more so now, since I found out that that was the night they chose to film our show. >.<
40. I don’t mean to brag, but honestly I really have had the privilege of being very lucky and blessed in this life. The first that comes to mind, however, is actually kinda sad - and it also has to do with that show that I was in recently. (The Fantasticks, just for reference) I did not have a lead role, or even any lines, but long story short I ended up having to take over for the “Lead mute role” in addition to my own part which meant one less set of hands to help, OH and did I mention that this was decided the week before the show? That week was also finals week for my Summer Spanish class, and I desperately wanted to get an A. So, needless to say, I was anxious, tired, and STRESSED. I actually ended up breaking down in tears one night during our tech rehearsal, I was so overwhelmed and succumbed to the pressure for a few moments. So, what makes this a good memory, you ask? What happened next will live with me forever. The entire cast (there were 9 of us) all came together and showered me with hugs, appreciation, and encouragement. They let me go home early, and they might never know, but that meant the world to me. I hadn’t told them anything prior because I didn’t want to add to their stress and make them worry, but I felt over the moon knowing that they all “had my back.” I still smile like an idiot thinking about it and it’s a kindness that I’ll never forget. Yup, I’m crying right now a bit too.
44. 12-14. I’ve been called “fourteen-a” on more than one occasion. I’m 19 years old. I’M ALMOST 20 AND THESE PEOPLE HAVE THE NERVE TO BELIEVE I’M IN MIDDLE SCHOOL.
58. So, I am lucky enough to have four people in my life that I consider to be my “bestest of friends”. But one that I feel deserves particular mention is one I’m blessed to be able to call my sister. Where do I begin? You are the “Elsa” to my “Anna”, the “Ryuko” to my “Mako”, and I thank the Lord everyday that He allowed that mix-up on my housing letter. I can’t imagine living in this world without you! You are always there for me with words of encouragement and wisdom, you know how to make me laugh and even laugh at all my jokes (even when they make no sense), you let me be me - tears, emotions, dorkiness, clumsiness, awkwardness, songs and all. What more could a girl ask for? You are just really cool, confident, and smart - you inspire me to work hard and pursue my dreams! I am counting down the days till move-in (I’m literally packed and ready to go at a moment’s notice lol) and can’t wait to see what the Lord has in store for our futures! Love you! OH AND HAPPY ALMOST BIRTHDAY ^^
