Yoga: Practice #174 (2/14/13) listen, look, rely
Briohny is a new teacher to me, I have never taken one of her class. With a new teacher c omes new instructions and I had to listen in an alternative way. Her cuing was different than what I'm used to and I had to look at the screen a couple dozen times to see exactly what she meant. Just like a beginner in many ways, the yogic way of listening is different than listening with friends and family and I was reminded of this. I had to still love myself for it, it's what makes me human. "New" teachers will do that to you and it's no big deal. But it's nice when you feel comfortable enough with a teacher that you don't need to look up, rather their vocal cues lead you enough to get to where you are going. situations arise in real life that you aren't already acquainted with and you find ease when others in similar situations. This confirms the necessity to rely on one another as a human species. There's no other way...
