So I was looking at pictures because I wanted to test is it way better to have a reference or nah since I’ve heard from other artists that it is really good to use one instead of going from your mind. I was looking at chibis of Ain and saw something I fancied. I noticed there are quite a few Japanese and Korean artists who don’t have dark black lines. I decided to choose a colour, purple being one of my favourites, as a line colour instead. It can be harder doing that since the fill in colour has to compliment the line buuuuuut I like it.
Conclusion, references are your best friend XD Just don’t copy the full image. I got my reference from here. You might notice which I chose. I don’t want to pose it here since people don’t like that. At least I finally figured out what I like and have the line colour saved. :D
Now if only I knew how to draw food.
