I hope that you are doing just peachy today. I’m doing mighty fine me, myself.
You know I woke up thinking...today is going to be a good day. Mainly because I started it on time and in the right direction today by talking to my God first.
As I sit back in my new place and think about all that God has done and how far He has brought me all I can say is thank you. I’ve been through hell and high water and I made it to the other side. After being homeless for almost 4 years, I finally have my own place!!!
I kept sayin’ I made it...I made it...But I didn’t know what I meant by that...like made what?! But I realized that I made it over the hump.
You see there comes a time in every Christian’s life when your faith gets tested. When God allows you to go through things that seem unfair or unpleasant at the time, but I see now that He’s really working on something for the future.
I never knew what God had in store for me, I just knew that I wanted to trust, listen, and obey Him, even when I didn’t understand. Even when I lost EVERYTHING...A FEW TIMES. Even sleeping outside, in shelters, on couches etc. God still was with me.
I’m glad now to see how God is rewarding me for staying faithful through some of the toughest battles and storms of my life. There were many times that I wanted to pass out and die. But I just had to see. I just had to see what would happen if I did it God’s way. What would happen if I did it His way this time instead of mine?
It paid off. My relationship with Him is stronger because of it. My relationship with myself has deepened, my relationships with others have strengthened, my outlook on life has changed for the better, and now my sorrow has turned to joy.
I say this to hopefully encourage someone out there right now who is having a hard time understanding the when’s, why’s, and how’s of God. Just remember that He is in control and that He will never let you down. He wants the best for you. He’s that parent that wants to bring out the best in you. He knows who you are even before you discover who you are. He knew what your personality would be like, he knew what buttons would get you going, and he knows what to do to get the best out of you. Trust in God during these times and remember to lean not on your own understanding.
Serving God logically and trying to make sense of everything will only stress you out and leave you with anxiety (I know firsthand lol). When you’re walking with God you gotta know He’s got you and He has a plan for you and your life. If you’re discouraged, keep going. I’m a living witness that in a day your life can change. God can show up and show out at any point in time. Never lose your hope and never lose your faith in God because that is what is going to give you the joy and strength that you need to make it.
Be Blessed. Walk Blessed. Talk Blessed and Bless Others then at the End of the Day, Be Grateful for ALL that God has given you. We serve an abundant God and He came so that we may have life and life more abundantly. So give it all that you got and don’t give up. God is with you in the struggle. He’s got your back. Know that He is with you and that no weapon formed against you shall prosper.
