she has a song for him on her ipod. she doesn't even know that it's "his" song -- for lola, it's just, yknow. a random song. i haven't picked it out yet, but she always skips it whenever her ipod is on shuffle. unless they've sparred that day. and then she'll listen to it on repeat for about half an hour before realizing she's been listening to the same damn thing.
it's not "their bed". it's "the bed". more often than not, it's actually not even "the bed". just "it". and they'll use phrases like "your phone's on it" or "have you looked under it?" to avoid saying "the bed", because the bed denotes connection, denotes they share this, denotes they are actually and actively going to sleep together every night. and that's just blasphemous.
she can't cook. and it's not the cute "try these burnt cookies but they're good on the inside!" kind of not being able to cook. lola will literally spoil anything. she doesn't even like it. but sometimes she tries to bake brownies, just to annoy vincent.
vincent is ticklish and lola takes fULL ADVANTAGE of that fact.
not that she'll ever, ever, ever admit it, but vincent's relative strength is a huge turn-on for her. but the problem lies in that their relationship hinges on a power play, so lola saying that she loves his strength would only emphasize that he's got some power over her, and she's way too terrified of her emotions to give him any more.
there is literally nothing lola hates more than seeing another girl put the moves on him?????

she's kind of obsessed with his jawline. when he's sleeping (or when she thinks he's sleeping), she'll walk her fingers up and down it and brush over his stubble and run the tip of her index just under his jaw. sometimes she'll kiss it. but only when she's feeling saucy.
vincent is actually the one to initiate the most of their sexual interactions when they're "at the apartment" (never use the word "home"). lola knows that sex has been the defining factor for most of her life, and she's terrified of cheapening what she has with him -- or making it banal for herself, or anything -- by openly inviting him to bed. she's scared of making him "just another guy". which he's not, but go figure, lola's not the brightest bulb.
she'll get him a kitten and he'll fucking like the kitten.
everything's a battle for them. that's obvious, but -- literally everything is a battle, a challenge of wills, of wits, of who will give in this time. usually it's vincent, stalking away with stiff shoulders and a scowl on his face. and sometimes it's lola, who glares at him while he grins like the smug asshole he is.
but somewhere in the middle she's stopped hating him in that abstract way she had.
that's not something she talks about, though.
even if sometimes, she wishes with barely a whisper that he's stopped hating her, too.

also to a jasdy scene where wendy meets pippa, because i'm kind of stupidly excited for that plot.
sometimes she watches him while he sleeps. it's the only time the brow smooths out, the only time that dark shock of hair musses itself, the only time his mouth pulls out and loosens, no scowls or frowns marring it in any way. and she doesn't touch him, of course -- that's a taboo she won't cross yet. because he's vulnerable. because he's open. because asleep she could reach inside his chest and rip his heart out by that simple single act (leaving). instead she watches. lola's eyes trace the contours of vincent's face -- those high cheekbones, the hooded eyes, the sharp cut of his jaw. down, where his shoulders slope, inelegant, and further, to his arm, not yet touching her but almost, almost. and she hates herself, but her breath hitches when she looks at his fingers, brushing along the cool white cotton of the sheets. her breath hitches and thoughts she's never allowed herself fly by in daring whispers and she shoves them away in the flip of her dark hair over her shoulder, in the smirk of her lips, in the you know you want me of her eyes. her breath hitches, and no words come, and what a silly concept, really -- but asleep is the only time vincent zimmerman has ever rendered lola speechless.
