The day these lyrics pierced my heart, I knew that God was really real and that He cared for me. I was thinking how much I messed up my life...so much so that even God wouldn't be able to fix it. I was ready to give up any and all hope and just succumb to whatever was going to happen. I was done trying, done believing....then the words from this song began to flow from the radio I had playing softly and flooded my ears and heart. It spoke directly to every thought I'd just had. I made a choice that day to truly follow God. To hold on and wait on Him....no matter how long it was going to take and no matter what I was going to have to face. I knew in that moment that God really does hear us...He hears our thoughts. Not only did He hear me, but He responded...He wanted me to know that He heard me and that He cared. In that moment I knew that I was loved...and in that very moment I needed to know that I was loved and He knew that I needed to know. I was at the absolute darkest moment of my life and He pulled back the veil and shined light on me to let me know I was not forgotten. ❤ . .
