Movie Night

“Now Wes, behave yourself. I know you’re excited to watch movies with with your friends but please no mischief.” This was also somewhat of a date for Jack tonight. Being with Joseph late at night was funny considering he was married and well, Jack was a full ten years younger than him. He still had no clue who he was actually married to however. Not until he ran into HER on her way out with Wes carrying pillows right behind him.

“Mary...?” There’s a brief look of shock before a shared look of uncertainty. She shook her head, patted him on the shoulder, then left. What was that all about? She was always so rowdy when she saw him. She looked so sad...almost disappointed when she saw him. What was going on here?

⊰⊰۞⊱⊱ The religions of Humes were vast and ever changing, especially in this world, she had found (and Robert showing her the wide web had allowed her to explore an array of information that would be key to helping her understand all the better what she was confronted with).

     Hjin looked at the simple architecture of the church, her lapin ears turned and flickered with the movement of the air. Hume had so many gods, even back home they worshiped pantheons that held so much to explain everything. The Viera had the Wood, She who sheltered them and guided them, who even now sang in the back of Hjin’s mind. But Hjin was not opposed to watching Joseph’s sermons, to watch how he seemed like a a clergyman of the Light of Kilta back home.

     Today, however, the church’s parking lot appeared to be empty. ‘Twas a shame, she wanted to speak to him about their different beliefs and other things. Perhaps find a common ground to speak with him, become a friend rather than a silent acquaintance that sat at the back of his church.

     Hjin’s curiosity won out however and she reached for the door, both her ears and tail perked as it opened easily. Perhaps he was there and simply had not seen his vehicle?

Rob was sitting on his front porch, enjoying a single drink today and having his feet up on the railing. In his jeans and a black tank top. The jacket he always wore slung over the arm of his chair. It was sunset, soon he would leave his home like the nocturnal creature he was.
