Riopelle Artist Collective and the Prankster Press
Stamps alumna Lyz Luidens (BFA 2013) is one of the founding members of the Riopelle Artist Collective in Detroit’s historic Eastern Market.
Riopelle is an artist-run studio and gallery collective occupied by five local artists who use the space to work, collaborate, teach, and host monthly art and music events for the public. The artist members range from painters and printmakers to musicians and designers.
Lyz Luidens’ letterpress shop and fine art printmaking studio, the Prankster Press, resides in Riopelle’s space. The Prankster Press began in the summer of 2013 with one press, and carries on today with one motorized Chandler & Price letterpress, two tabletop platen presses, one Potter Proofing press, and one Conrad Combination Cylinder press.
