why did no one tell me msg tastes so good?
it's like salt but meatier. i made a fake "chicken broth" out of salt and msg dissolved in water and it made the food I was cooking in it (pork) so fucking flavorful.

hijack tried to murder a twelve year old boy.
pSo like, I went through the entire chapter and it seems like Hijack’s intent was never to hurt the children, just to get Jeff closer to Mr. Spender so that he could do the thing to Spender himself. He’s like, vehemently anti-bully, but implements that attitude in... questionable ways during the Hitball game. The ball throw on ch5p43 was probably the most violent thing Hijack attempted, and it’s not clear to me whether he was going for “murder Johnny” or “seriously maim Johnny.”
When I made the comment about Hijack being nicer than Spender, I was referring to how he was bonding with Isabel (around ch5p134 and again c5p214) and also interactions with Isaac that I swear existed but apparently not? Also I just found the page where Spijack ties the doctopus to Max’s arm and he would have already been hijacked by then (ch5p107). With the new info that that isn’t even Spender in the first place, the “old friend” panel still makes sense, given that Mina sent Hijack to spy on Spender in the first place.
Sorry this is rambly stream of conciousness and also is mostly irrelevant to whether hijack is nicer than spender or whether hijack was going for murder or anything. I’d love to talk to you more about this arc so that I can get my idea of wtf is going on here straightened out.
I went driving almost 8 hours ago and I’m still kind of freaking out. I hate hate hate being behind the wheel. I am so so scared all the time. I need to learn basic life skills, but I’m still freaking out. I’m never going to learn to drive. I need to learn to drive.
I attempted to schedule an appointment with my therapist about this. Fingers crossed for something early this week.
Okay so I was out to dinner at this schmancy all-you-can-eat sushi place with a bunch of members on this exec board that I don’t really know too well, but they’re generally pretty cool people. It also happened that a group of people containing a friend of mine walked by. I said his name, but he didn’t notice me, so I went up to him and poked him to say hi. One of the exec board members sees this and kinda kept teasing me about it, like shipping me and that friend of mine together. I was kind of uncomfortable but kept my mouth shut until after we were all outside and in response to one last jab I just responded:
“Dude, I’m gay as fuck.”
The rest of the board broke down laughing and the guy seemed kinda embarrassed, but it got me out of that awkward situation.
Due to the tumblr UI change, i'm scrolling through some of my old drafts and things and.
Wow how did i not know how mentally ill I was. anxious uncomfortable socially-incomplete creature that i was. A tag I kept seeing was "I'm not autistic I just believe in their beliefs" get it thru your head dumbass
But i did get it through my head eventually. the dumbass is just some 19 year old who grew up into a significantly less anxious 30 year old when on the right medication.
i have a new hand-me-down pressure cooker and it's such a good tool. makes a lot more variety of food viable for busy weeknight dinners
i'm excited to experiment with whatever cooking weirdness i can do with this.
