[Day 1996] “PRAY UP”

so i woke up at 12:00 to this and a very vague recollection of writing it..

Im currently attempting to stay up as late as I possibly can tonight (after a 12 hour shift today) so that I can sleep through most of the day tomorrow so that I can survive my first night shift Sunday night. Son, it is only 2am and I am delirious as hell. I’ve eaten 2 waffles and a milkshake, binged half of season 2 of The Flash, watched Mask of Zorro, downed a whole bag of frozen grapes (if you havent tried that, go now and do so they are LUSCIOUS), read one of the new harry potter ebooks on my kindle (which I str8 up dropped on my face four times - turns out kindles are 4x as damaging to faces than books are. educate yourselves. well actually i guess it dpensd on the book), and now im here staring hat my ceiling fan wondering about the meaning of life. also my head hurts and I want more waflfes

been feeling lonely in the midst of my overwhelmingly secular life. i just can’t wait to get to lancaster and live with people who know me/will know me on a spiritual level. it’s just hard having to sensor bits of yourself when ur religious and no one else around you is. but god is good and he my sustenance and knows me better than any human ever could.
