#doreenvirtue ・・・ God sends protective angels. Don’t be afraid of the lions in your life, Dear One. When the Prophet Daniel was locked overnight in a cell with hungry lions, he didn’t focus on fear. He didn’t even focus upon the lions. Instead, he went straight into prayer. He looked up instead of down. The next morning when Daniel was found alive and unscathed, he said that God had sent an angel to keep the lions’ mouths closed (Daniel 6). You probably don’t have literal lions in your life, but you may feel in a similar situation with your bills and debt, or with a person who seems determined to make your life miserable, or pressure, deadlines, or the weather worrying you. Instead of fearing the lions in your life, turn to God in prayer such as: Dear God, I am turning to you completely for help with this situation, as I don’t know what else to do. Please lift me up, protect me, and support me. Please send me a protective angel. I ask that you show me what steps I need to take, and what steps to avoid. I will listen to and follow your guidance, as I trust that you can see the whole situation, and that you love me and care about me. In Jesus’ name, Amen. What a beautiful vision of a world of people peacefully cooperating with each other! Competitiveness comes from a belief in lack, thinking that we must beat someone else to the prize, or that there's not enough to go around. Yet, what value is the prize if we've lost our inner peace during the competitive process? God's love is abundant and unlimited, and we mustn't project our insecurities onto believing that God made a limited world. Have faith that God does hear your prayers, and is leading you to the path where you can help others and your needs will be met. Perhaps you've received an inspired idea for a business which will benefit the world, but you don't know how to do certain aspects of the business. Prayer can lead you to partners who bring these needed gifts, and who compliment your strengths. Here's a helpful prayer: Dear God, please help me to focus upon you, instead of competing with other people. Thank you for leading me to a cooperative and complimentary partnership. And here's a supportive scripture: "So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need." #doreenvirtue ・・・ Focus on Love There's a place where the news is always good, where there's harmony and peace amongst all people, and unconditional love and compassion toward you. And that place exists right here, right now, during your lifetime. It's the place of prayerful communion with your Creator, where - instead of focusing upon the news, worries, drama, or grievances - you close your eyes, breathe, and pray from your heart. It's in that moment, that you've given your free-will permission for Heaven to help you. As you pray, you can feel the burdens being lifted. Your mind receives solutions instead of problems. The lower energy loves to distract us with worries and anger . . . anything to pull us from our path. Lower energy also tries to divide and conquer people, by planting suspicions that create the illusion of separation. We can't afford to fall for these tactics! Don't worry about anything, but pray about everything. God's infinite wisdom has the answer to every situation. Here's a helpful prayer: Dear God, please detoxify my mind and heart, and reset me to love, pure love. Guide my actions to be helpful, from a place of love not fear or anger. And here's a supportive scripture: They do not fear bad news; they confidently trust the Lord to care for them.
