What a beautiful vision of a world of people peacefully cooperating with each other! Competitiveness comes from a belief in lack, thinking that we must beat someone else to the prize, or that there's not enough to go around. Yet, what value is the prize if we've lost our inner peace during the competitive process? God's love is abundant and unlimited, and we mustn't project our insecurities onto believing that God made a limited world. Have faith that God does hear your prayers, and is leading you to the path where you can help others and your needs will be met. Perhaps you've received an inspired idea for a business which will benefit the world, but you don't know how to do certain aspects of the business. Prayer can lead you to partners who bring these needed gifts, and who compliment your strengths. Here's a helpful prayer: Dear God, please help me to focus upon you, instead of competing with other people. Thank you for leading me to a cooperative and complimentary partnership. And here's a supportive scripture: "So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? #doreenvirtue ・・・ What strong and repetitive messages have you been receiving lately? Perhaps an inspired thought to make a positive change, start writing, change your diet, devote more time to your spiritual path, etc. How do we know when these ideas are from God, or if they are from the ego? We can discern by looking at what the idea is calling you to do. Is it something that is life-affirming for you and others? In other words, is it healthy and positive? Do you get a sense that it is the right path, or is there a sense of guilt or sneakiness accompanying the idea. Is the idea in accordance with your morals and beliefs? For instance, if you are a Christian, is the idea in alignment with the word? It's equally important to ask God if this is an idea that he sent. We only want to follow divinely-inspired ideas. Any other type of idea will be a distraction and very time and resource-consuming. God often gives us ideas in response to our prayers. So the repetitive idea that you have maybe your answer to prayer! When you take action on it, you are fulfilling your divine assignment. Here's a helpful prayer: Dear God, thank you for hearing and answering my prayers. I ask for your continued clarity, support, and encouragement, guiding me in the best direction. You're much safer following God's guidance, rather than listening to fear or peer pressure. God leads your way, in all ways. Perhaps you'll receive a Divinely inspired idea to make a positive change at your current job, a way to bring God's love to your co-workers and customers. Or, maybe you'll be inspired to start a helpful new service or product that makes your heart sing with joy. You might be guided to do volunteer work, or pray more to help others. God knows exactly what you're capable of, and will give you a wonderful assignment in answer to your prayers. Your job is to trust and follow this guidance. Our life purpose calls to us, beckoning us to help others by expressing our innermost truth. It can feel vulnerable to show your fragile feelings to others through your creative work. Fears of criticism and rejection are normal reactions. And yet if we don't move forward as we're guided, there's a different kind of anxiety. God's alarm clock is ringing inside of you, calling you to get up and focus upon your priorities. It's an internal pressure which pushes you to take the positive action steps which God guides you to take. These pressures and anxieties can be reduced by spending a bit of time daily, taking Divinely guided action. Even 10 minutes a day, focused upon your priority, can help you to feel on-track. #doreenvirtue ・・・ Trust the changes you're going through. All of your powerful prayers are being answered, by God guiding you to make some much-needed positive changes. While change can feel threatening as you embark into the unknown, keep in mind that God can see where you're going. It's not an unknown future, when you follow God's guidance. What changes are you being guided to make? A first step is to acknowledge that you are having thoughts and feelings about making positive changes. Once you acknowledge them, these ideas to make changes don't feel as intimidating. Let's take a deep breath together . . . and on the exhale, give God any insecurities you may be wrestling with. What are the fears associated with making this change? Bring those fears to the surface of awareness, so that you can see whether they are logical or not. After all, fears that are hidden in the depths of our unconscious can control us in ways that we won't even recognize or understand. Here's a helpful prayer: Dear God, I'm getting strong thoughts and feelings to make this change (please describe), and I need your help please in sorting whether you're calling me to make these changes . . . or whether it's my ego. Please Lord, clearly guide and support me, as I know that whatever you ask me to do will work out well.
