Try a Prayer Doodle How to Pray with Prayer Doodles: Write a name for God, the name of someone you're prayer for, or words from a scripture verse.
Last week I read Praying in Color by Sybil MacBeth and I'm really thankful for the words it spoke. It reminded me that prayer doesn't need to be a time where I sit in awkward silence for a half hour or struggle to remember who has asked me to prayer for them in the past month. Prayer can be as simple as meditating on a friend's name and doodling around them. I'm still somewhat baffled by this concept and don't exactly know where it's going to lead, but I promised myself that I would try "prayer doodling" for the last twenty some days of lent. It's causing me to put time in my day aside to simply prayer and that has been an utter struggle until now. I'm excited for what is to come and I pray that I grow closer to God through this experience!
