Ever wonder why

Ever wonder why? Ever wonder why you suffer? Why we all suffer? I wonder why.. I wonder why I'm so favored.. why I'm so loved.. Damn.. What could've I ever done to have such a beautiful life.. Why am I not dying of hunger like people in Venezuela under a fascist regime where their politicians deny that their in a crisis.. Why am I not in Colombia and Chile looking for shelter after my house was suddenly swept away by a mud slide.. Why am I not in Peru drowning in my sleep.. Why am I not fleeing to a refugee camp, afraid of being slaughtered with no mercy by my own government like Syria.. Why are people suffering around the whole world and why am I allowed to just sit on my ass and snap pictures with no fear.. Why am I not worried that tomorrow I could die or a bomb could fall on my house this very night.. Why is it them and not me.. Why are other people suffering and I'm ok.. And the saddest part is I can't do anything about it.. I can rant and feel indignated by the injustice, but what else? What the hell else? You think you have it bad? Any one from those countries would love to be in your place.. There are people that are actually suffering.. Not from an unanswered damn message.. From seeing their children dying of hunger in their arms unable to do give them a morsel of food like in Africa.. And what the hell are we doing? So... yeah, my country is burning down. Literally. 

There has been more than 90 fires, located all the way down to the south of Chile. Hundreds of people without a home, without something to eat, fireman dying, policeman dying, Endemic species burt down, thousands of animals dying. I know this might not be a problem to you, that you live far, far away from here... but even though I’m not a religious person, I ask you one thing. 

Pray for Chile. My country is dying. My people are homeless. The government is sitting on their asses, rejecting help. The beautiful fields of the south are black and grey. My country needs help, my country needs hope, and I know we will get out of this, because we’ve done it thousands of times before, but... you don’t understand. We’re ready for earthquakes, we’re ready for rivers overflowing and heat waves. We can take that; we’re the second most sismic country in the world, after Japan. We know how to handle earthquakes, we live with that, we even laugh about that. 

But there’s nothing that could prepare you to live 35 fires, active fires, burning right now, while you read this. While you read this, there might be a possibility that another fireman had died. There’s a chance that maybe a hundred families lost their homes, their money, their food, their shelter, their clothes. 

So please. If not for me, for the non-religious people, do it for my people. Do it for my country, do it for the patch of earth I was born in. Do it for all those who cry right now, do it for those who are fighting to save lifes. Do it for Chile. 

Pray for Chile.

I am truly saddened by all the tragedy that is affecting Chile. It is tremendously sad to see how their beautiful forests are burning for days. Please pray for Chile, what is happening there is terrifying no one country in this world deserves this. Please pray for those people who are watching as their beautiful forests burn without stopping, pray for those families who lost everything they had, pray for those firefighters who do not rest because they are working very hard because they want to save their forests, pray for them and because this horrible nightmare is over soon. ⛪💐
