Thankful for a group of visitors who came ready to share good food (donuts) and also encouragement around God’s precious word. As we sing with Mary “my soul magnifies the Lord, my spirit rejoices in God my Savior”, may we be freshly amazed that God became a babe for us, turning the fortunes of the high and low upside down, and fulfilling all His promises in Christ. Post CooC dinner with @berryleecious @annaibib @rachiefairie after a marathon of teaching about Christian discipleship. We give thanks for the forty young adults who stayed with us for the day retreat, and persevered at learning from the Bible. Thankful to Pastor Ian today for preaching a strong word about hope for dark days, and glory for our silent nights. Out of our discouragement, Immanuel shines forth, we need only abide and reflect His glory. Thankful for yesterday’s reminder not to be discouraged in ministry. Mercy is motivation for ministry. Mercy points out that proclamation is a privilege, to speak of Christ is itself a high honor, regardless of who is listening and what they do or how they respond. For the lips of the messenger to be graced with His name is a joy, since it is at His pleasure that we serve Him!
