Thoughts on Orlando: It might get better but it also might not

On a cosmological timeline, humanity is super young, many would say in infantile stages. It seems that human kind is massively and exponentially, reproducing, and evolving. There are more people on earth now than ever before. I think that civilization is actually in more of an awkward teenage phase. Clumsy, noisy, opinionated, and hard to deal with. Maybe 5 to 6 centuries from now, when civilization grows and is more of a young adult, our great great… great grandchildren can look back and think "eew humanity was awful back then. How could someone possibly think someone's different because of their skin color?!". Just like, anyone who is/has been an awkward teenager, I hope that we can be better one day and look back on now with disgust and embarrassment. I hope that in 600 years school children will only have to read about women being payed less, and bombings, and terrorist organizations. I hope that humanity develops enough so that teenage suicides are unheard of and homelessness is long forgotten. I hope that one day we can all have different worldviews and love the differences and not hate them.
