@prcdator - PLOTTED.
The descent was hell. All fire and alarms blaring, whatever survivors remained of the initial escape finding their pods and fumbling the controls to get them out before the vessel hit the point of no return in the planet's gravitational pull. They had been sent careening off course during the breach -- the navigational staff falling over one another to try to chart a course back into Weyland-Yutani space, desperate to correct the vessel. Ultimately, they failed.
A solar flare event, unpredictable, had damaged the vessel and left the staff weak enough for the experiments contained inside to overpower. As is inevitable for all vessels of these type, the xenomorphs within overran their keepers with hardly any time, unaware that the ship that carried them was barreling through empty space, straight for uncharted territory.
Seawater belched high into the atmosphere when the Weyland-Yutani science vessel made impact. Perhaps that was the only thing that cushioned the landing enough to see any survivors at all.
In the wreckage, washed up ashore, the crackling of fire mixes with the sound of inhuman shrieking.
Something is trapped inside.
And it is wounded.
