    SHE HAD BEEN DOING VERY WELL. That’s what the doctors and nurses had been telling her. Eri wasn’t quite used to the praise, and didn’t know how to respond to it, but at the very least she had noticed changes in herself as well. She was still withdrawn and timid around people, but she was adjusting. She was healing. 

    SHE ROLLED OVER IN HER BED, curling more into a ball and waiting. Today she was going to meet someone Aizawa knew. He told her about him a bit and assured her that’d he be nice and that she’d like him. It was so Eri could practice meeting new people and get used to their company. Or something like that... Eri hopes he really was as nice as Aizawa said in his stories...

    THE DOOR CLICKS OPEN and Eri finds herself not flinching at it, nor feeling gripped with that horrible fear. She hears the nurse say that he was here to see her now and gestures to the man beside her. Eri sits up in the bed and just stares at him, a bit awestruck, a bit nervous, and not saying anything. This was him...! What... should she do...? She sees Aizawa standing in the hall like normal and feels some security, but still doesn’t know what to say.
