It looked like she might be in trouble for about ... thirty seconds. Dinah moved like she was born for the fight, the group of shady figures who thought she was going to be easy pickings were quickly learning otherwise. She caught one’s wrist, twisting to snap his arm, as a boot came up to kick another square in the jaw. By the end she’d taken care of them, easy as literally taking out the trash. One quick smile, bright almost playful as she shrugged, “I know I’ve got a big ego, I really don’t know why it’s such a big deal though.”

Juliet ran a brush through her soft, dirty blonde hair in the rear view mirror before exiting the Mercedes. SHE HADN’T SEEN ROMEO IN THREE DAYS, NINE HOURS, AND THIRTY SIX MINUTES. Mostly because of her hectic, ungodly work schedule. Portia, her much older boss, was impossibly needy and constantly took advantage of her time. Getting a free hour or two for herself without receiving a phone call was next to impossible. On the other hand, hiding her relationship with Romeo from her close knit family had become challenging, and she wanted to spare him of her circumstances. But staying away for too long never worked. They always found their way back to each other. 

Juliet glanced out at the Venice boardwalk, admiring the sunny weather, and entered the pool hall. She spotted Romeo and his friends towards the back playing a game at one of the tables. A smile instantly formed at the sight of him as she approached. 

“Sorry, I’m late.”

“Do you want some food?” Voice was quiet as Patton smiled over Serah. He was too tired to actually get up or move any closer to where she was on the couch. It wasn’t even really possible given the fact Klondike had made himself comfortable on the couch with his head in her lap. That was the problem when Jax and he had a date at the house or a date was that all the dogs seemed to take up most of said date’s attention. “Jax can make us something.”

From his spot beside the woman, he narrowed his eyes over at Patton in a sign of feigning annoyance. “You could try making the food by yourself, ya know.” Jax could not help but grin at his boyfriend before his attention focused back on Serah. There was a reason that he was always the one to make food for everyone. The fact that he was a professional chef certainly helped with that.
