Night after night as I lay sleeping I dream... these dreams being more vivid than the last. Once again I’m that woman within the city on the other side but I’m so confused about everything going on. Nothing is right or makes sense! I don’t know what to think anymore as I’ve been seeing those whom seem familiar yet so far away.. things feel so real around me it’s as if I’m actually there. Perhaps when I sleep I shall try to remember every detail to write it here when I wake up, maybe then I can figure out what’s going on and what these dreams mean.
Elixandria Wildheart sighed as she moved the old journal back to it’s place within the drawer of her night stand before grabbing her belt to put it on. Her gaze looked about the room before she finally moved to head out the door, grabbing her daggers along the way and placing them in their holders on each of her sides. The city was getting quiet as most had been heading to the taverns or home for the night, flames from the torches crackled as she walked through the cobblestone tunnel that lead to old town. The city was damp as a light fog was creeping in along with the darkness of night, the smell of it becoming like that of soaked wood along with the hint of spilled wine as she neared the tavern.
The voices from inside the tavern grew louder as Elixandria opened the door to see a few patrons chatting about inside, her gaze didn’t look about the room as she moved to sit at one of the empty tables. She was meeting someone whom had arranged to meet her but they weren’t here yet so she instead decided to close her eyes as she relaxed in the chair. The chatter of soldiers talking about there day to her right could be heard along with the mix of dwarves whom were drunk by the bar, whispers of shady dealings were picked up from a far back corner. She was listening to all of these simply because she could but they soon turned into a muddled mixture to the point that they seemed to sound like waves. In fact the air slowly seemed replaced by the smell of water, as if it had begun raining outside. She opened her eyes to go look outside to see if it had indeed begun raining however she was no longer greeted with the view of the tavern, but of a lake.
