This morning's tea 05.29.2012
Pre-Chingmin Golden Jade from Upton Tea
This is last year's Pre-Chingming which tastes just fine to me (I got it on sale at Upton recently . . . which means I'll probably do the same next year for this year's teas). I brewed this one strong this morning and it's got a muscatel like flavor similar to a first flush Darjeeling. The leaves are a variety of browns and greens. The cha qi is very gentle. Easing me into the morning.
I was rejected from graduate school last week and it ended up lighting a Promethean fire inside of me. I sit at my desk oddly inspired, ready to write. My cup, my notebooks, my pen, I am awake.
