Evan hadn’t written back a reply. Instead he tasked himself with remembering the time they had agreed on. He reached under his bed, where he’s certain someone like Cassius wouldn’t think to check. Sorting through the presents he had under his bed with a blank expression. Alice’s gift glared at him from the wall, away from the others. He had thrown it there after she vanished for a week after their argument about his family. It was really an argument about the lies he told her, but he would always knock it up to his family’s existence.
After he gathers two presents wrapped in some cheesy Reindeer paper. Carefully he puts the gifts in sight, and when the time came he collected them. Placing the larger of the boxes under the curve of his arm. He’s relaxed but also restless to get out of the castle. Severus and he were friends, but neither of them were good at conversations. Not to mention for some unfathomable reason Severus has been avoiding him. Even if they were bunkmates, and probably the only pair that stayed at the castle.
It didn’t take him long to get to Three Broomsticks, catching the swinging door before it closed so he could enter. He scans the general vicinity for Emma, and looks towards the daunting clock on the wall. Noting to himself that he was on time, he starts to walk around taking in the patrons that belonged there and those that didn’t. He takes a seat and places the two presents atop the table in front of him.
Roy Harper: -drops onto the fire escape outside his apartment's window, looking around briefly for anyone nearby before ducking into his living room and pulling his mask off-
Robin: -sitting on an open windowsill on the opposite side of the room, smirking- Welcome home.
Roy Harper: -Has an arrow aimed at the intruder within a second, before letting out a sigh- I have a comm for a reason, Robs, so I don't shoot you when you decide to do some breaking and entering.
Robin: -snickers- As if you'd actually hit me.
Roy Harper: -Sets his bow and quiver on the coffee table- There's always a potential.
Robin: -jumps off the windowsill silently, walking towards you- Yeah, yeah. That's why you leave the window unlocked now, right?
Robin: Yeah, he's been pretty busy lately. School just started and all.
Roy Harper: Yeah, I've been trying to get a hold of him... I have a bit of business to take care of with him. -moves over to his small kitchen- How long have you been waiting?
Robin: -shrugs- Not long. -flops down on the couch, putting my feet up on the coffee table- How was patrol?
Roy Harper: Only partially a patrol, and the other half trying to get Ollie to talk to me. -shakes his head a bit in irritation- Want anything?
Robin: Water would be astrous, thanks. -stretches a bit- You and me both had a pretty uneventful night then. Bats banned me for tonight.
Roy Harper: -gets a glass out and starts filling it- Really? Something bad happened? -Sounds a bit concerned-
Robin: Nah. He just said something about taking a night off. -annoyance creeping into my voice as I lose volume, muttering- As if he ever takes one.
Roy Harper: He's right. -hands you the glass before sitting next to you- If you don't take a break every now and then you'll make yourself sick. -shrugs before nudging you with his elbow- Though I know you don't want to hear it.
Robin: -takes the glass with a nod, drinking a few sips and rolling my eyes behind the shades- Dude, I'm fine. Nothing I can't handle. School, the Dynamic Duo thing, the team thing, the secret ID thing...it's not like anything's changed. We're just a bit busier than usual, that's all. I mean I got...I don't know, two hours of sleep last night? I'm fine.
Roy Harper: Nothing may have changed, but the brain has a way of storing stress. If you never have a break.. you might snap. -reaches over to grab your shoulder- See? Your shoulders are really tensed, man. -smiles a bit before releasing you-
Robin: -frowns, rolling my shoulders uncomfortably- S-so? I haven't stretched yet tonight. Figured I would train later since I'm not patrolling.
Roy Harper: Stretching isn't the same, bro, and you know it. -sits back into the corner of the couch to better face you- So, what's up, just came by for a little visit? I can't say I'm used to your whole team showing up at my house every now and then. When Superboy shows up, I think I'll have to have a talk with someone about how I came to be everyone's Dutch Uncle.
Robin: -rolls eyes again- Yeah, okay. -takes another sip of water and nearly chokes when you mention Superboy- What, I can't stop in and see my friends? -smirks- Maybe I was bored and knew you'd have at least part of the night free.
Roy Harper: We both know I'm the most boring of the broforce. -smirks a bit- You and Wally have told me on many occasions.
Robin: -snickers- And yet we still hang out with you. I bet you feel honored.
Roy Harper: You guys are almost all I had growing up, Dinah still treats me like I'm fifteen and fresh off a reservation. -shakes his head a bit before clearing his throat- Oh, you might like to know Artemis and I are on a truce right now. -shrugs lightly, like its nothing-
Robin: Look at you two, playing nice. -grins- Good to hear. -stretches again, my spine popping as I sit back again, chin resting on my hand- Man, Gotham's been busy these past few weeks. I feel like I've barely seen the team, aside from training.
Roy Harper: I'd offer to help, but I'm already trying to pick off more than I can chew here, and Bats would kill me if I came to Gotham. -Smirks a bit- You could have gone and seen the team tonight, used them to help you unwind.
Robin: Yeah, but I've seen you even less. -shrugs- Wayne's having some fancy party sometime in the next few days. Something about a fundraiser he did recently. You know, the usual. So Gotham's been extra.../active/. And I can't imagine that at least one person on that guest list doesn't have a hit out on them. -runs a hand through my hair- Definitely going to be an interesting time. Br-- -coughs to cover my slip- Ah, Bats is on edge. Thinks something might be going down. -glances at you pointedly through my shades-
Roy Harper: -groans a bit- I heard /something/ about it... Ollie refuses to go, no idea why, but his PR representatives want QI to make an appearance and show support. Not only is it a good cause and stuff, but it'd get his relationship issues out of the paper. -sighs- I have no idea what Ollie thinks he's doing. -he pauses for a moment- Think Bats would let me show up with ulterior motives?
Robin: -raises an eyebrow, an amused smirk playing on my lips- Depends on the motives.
Roy Harper: Wayne's an old friend of Ollie's, at least as much of friends as business partners can be, he's a flake but a good guy... And you know how I used to hang out with his kid when we both got stuck at those parties. -rubs the back of his head- If you guys have been busy, I could watch the party. Even if Ollie shows up he probably wouldn't be very useful right now. So... would Bats be alright with me helping out and watching over some friends while you galavant the darkness?
Robin: -laughs- If it's just to attend a party yeah, sure, it shouldn't be too big of a deal. Especially if Ollie is supposed to show but he's off doing who knows what right now. I'll be sure to let B-man know you'll be in the area so we can focus on patrol. -stands, setting my glass on the coffee table and overing you a hand for a brofist- Thanks, man. Bats could use the break.
Roy Harper: Yeah, man. -returns the brofist- Besides, I doubt you want to spend perfectly good time with a bunch of rich fat cats, right? I'll save you the toiling boredom of that. -smirks-
Robin: -smirks- You have no idea. -backs towards the window with a mock salute- See you in Gotham. Try not to get into too much trouble.
Roy Harper: Straight to the gala and straight home, yes'sir! -salutes a bit in return-
Robin: -snickers, setting a foot on the windowsill and jumping out into the air, rolling into a somersault and landing on my feet- Catch you later!
